Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated HSE Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe work environment by enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards across various projects, especially within construction, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and operations in the oil and gas or petrochemical sectors.

Key Responsibilities

The HSE Officer will be responsible for conducting comprehensive HSE orientations, inductions, and awareness sessions for workers. You will implement and monitor HSE plans, welfare plans, emergency response procedures, and site-specific HSE work instructions. Practical experience with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), including Permit to Work (PTW), Work Method Statements (WMS), and risk assessments, is essential. Additionally, managing H2S safety controls, carrying out regular safety inspections, and ensuring thorough incident reporting and investigations will be part of your daily duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or a three-year diploma recognized as equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant HSE experience, with at least one year in construction, fabrication, installation, or commissioning projects.
• Proven background working in oil and gas or petrochemical operations.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent safety certification.
• Additional certifications such as IOSH or a diploma in Industrial Safety Management are advantageous.
• Strong command of English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication abilities.
