Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electric Motor Rewinding Technician in Yunbu, Saudi Arabia, to handle the dismantling, inspection, rewinding, repair, assembly, and testing of AC/DC electric motors and rotating equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure motors meet original equipment manufacturer (OEM) standards, maintaining operational efficiency and safety for various industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities

The technician will be responsible for a range of critical tasks including dismantling and diagnosing faults in motors, generators, and rotating machinery. The role involves removing old windings and preparing stator and rotor components for rewinding. Precise coil winding, insulation application, slot preparation, lacing, and impregnation must be performed in strict accordance with technical requirements.

Additional responsibilities include selecting appropriate insulating materials, varnishes, and resins, carefully reassembling motor components while ensuring correct alignment and clearances, and conducting thorough electrical testing — such as insulation resistance (IR), surge comparison, resistance, and hipot tests. Mechanical tasks like bearing replacement, shaft alignment, and balancing are also part of this role.

The technician is expected to maintain detailed records of work including job cards and test reports, adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies, and assist with troubleshooting and commissioning to guarantee the motors perform optimally.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in rewinding and repairing AC/DC electric motors and rotating equipment
• In-depth knowledge of insulation techniques, coil winding, and motor assembly
• Ability to conduct and interpret electrical and mechanical tests
• Familiarity with OEM quality standards and industrial safety practices
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and engineers
