Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled HSE Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas sector to join our team in the United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Health, Safety, and Environmental management within EPC projects, particularly in construction, fabrication, installation, or commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead a team of HSE officers and hygiene personnel, ensuring compliance with HSE management systems and relevant legal requirements. Responsibilities include developing and executing HSE, welfare, and emergency response plans, managing permit-to-work (PTW) systems, work method statements (WMS), and conducting risk assessments including Safe Systems of Work (SSOW). The role also involves delivering training programs, carrying out audits and inspections, and performing thorough incident investigations to maintain a safe workplace.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Science, or an HSE-related field from a recognized institution.
• NEBOSH IGC certification or an equivalent qualification approved by ADNOC.
• Lead Auditor certification for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, both mandatory.
• Incident Investigation certification is required.
• A minimum of 8 to 10 years of solid experience in HSE within oil and gas or petrochemical industries, especially on construction, fabrication, installation, or commissioning projects.
• Strong leadership abilities to manage and mentor HSE teams effectively.
• Proficient knowledge of HSE best practices, regulations, and compliance standards specific to EPC projects.

Additional Qualifications

Holding further certifications in HSE fields will be considered an added advantage and strengthen your candidacy for this position.
