Key Responsibilities

The Senior Safety Advisor will play a vital role in overseeing safety procedures within the refinery and petrochemical environment. Key duties include conducting safety inspections and audits, investigating incidents, ensuring contractor safety compliance, and actively participating in safety meetings and drills. The advisor will also lead risk assessments, job safety analyses, and pre-start safety reviews to maintain the highest safety standards across all project activities.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial disciplines.
• A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in refinery, petrochemical, or oil and gas industries with a focus on safety management.
• Professional safety certifications like NEBOSH, CSP, CFPS, or equivalent are highly preferred.
• Proficient understanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS), incident investigation techniques, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR).
• Skilled in contractor safety monitoring to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively in a multinational environment.
