Job Overview

THG, a leading Saudi-owned group renowned for luxury and casual dining brands including TAKARA, ZIBA, and Sold Out, is expanding its presence across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We are seeking experienced Senior Food Safety and Hygiene Officers to uphold and advance our strict food quality and hygiene standards. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence at our outlets in Khobar and Riyadh.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Food Safety and Hygiene Officer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding food safety protocols and compliance. Your duties will include:

• Performing comprehensive audits and regular inspections of kitchens, storage areas, and customer dining environments to ensure full adherence to hygiene standards.
• Ensuring strict compliance with HACCP guidelines and liaising with relevant authorities such as the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and municipal regulators.
• Designing and delivering training programs to restaurant teams focused on food handling best practices, personal hygiene, and safety procedures.
• Identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential food safety risks promptly while coordinating corrective actions as needed.
• Overseeing quality assurance by verifying incoming supplier documentation to guarantee all products meet THG’s high standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates should possess:

• A bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
• At least five to six years of experience in Food Safety or Quality Assurance roles within the food and beverage or hospitality sector.
• Relevant certifications such as HACCP Level 3 or above, and/or ISO 22000.
• A strong understanding of Saudi food safety regulations and familiarity with international food safety standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively train and manage staff.

Location and Work Environment

This position is based in Saudi Arabia, with opportunities in both Khobar and Riyadh. Candidates must currently reside in KSA to be eligible. You will be joining a dynamic environment that values quality, safety, and culinary innovation at every level.
