Job Overview
We are currently seeking qualified Safety Officers with Aramco approval for immediate local Iqama transfer opportunities. This role demands professionals who bring a strong background in health and safety within industrial or construction settings, specifically those with relevant experience on Aramco projects.
The position offers excellent exposure to regulatory compliance and operational safety coordination across multiple departments in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Officers will be responsible for coordinating and enforcing safety protocols across various operational units. This includes:
- Supporting the Operation Safety Department through inspections, reporting, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Engaging daily with Production and Operations Teams to identify hazards and manage Permit to Work (PTW) compliance.
- Verifying maintenance safety measures and implementation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures with the Maintenance Department.
- Collaborating with the Emergency Response Team (ERT) to maintain emergency preparedness and organize drills.
- Working with the Quality Department for audit coordination, managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and following up on corrective actions.
- Partnering with the Training Department to schedule and track health, safety, and environmental competency programs.
- Ensuring safe operations in scaffolding, rigging, and lifting activities by liaising with the respective teams.
- Communicating safety concerns and corrective measures effectively to Zone Managers and Area Supervisors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on Aramco projects with mandatory Aramco Safety Approval Process (SAP) Number.
- 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in industrial or construction safety management.
- Relevant certifications preferred: NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC), NEBOSH Process Safety Management, OSHA 30 Hours, IOSH, First Aid/CPR certification.
- Competency in handling safety related tasks such as Working at Height, Scaffolding Inspection, and Basic Lifting Equipment Inspection.
- Strong understanding of critical safety procedures, including PTW, LOTO, Confined Space Entry, Hot Work, Lifting, and Working at Height protocols.
