Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive HSE / Safety Officer to join our team for a project based in Riyadh. This role is vital for ensuring that all health, safety, and environmental policies are effectively enforced, maintaining a secure and compliant workplace. The position is offered on a project/rental basis.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular site inspections to verify adherence to company safety standards. They will identify potential hazards, carry out risk assessments, and recommend corrective measures to mitigate risks. Leading safety meetings, such as toolbox talks and orientations, will be a key part of the role to promote awareness.

Additional duties include monitoring the permit-to-work system to guarantee proper documentation, participating in investigations of incidents and accidents, and assisting with emergency preparedness planning and drills. Collaboration with site supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to enforce safety protocols is essential. Accurate record-keeping of inspections, training sessions, and safety observations is also required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must hold recognized HSE certifications such as NEBOSH IGC or IOSH, or an equivalent credential. A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental roles is necessary, preferably within the construction or industrial sectors and within Saudi Arabia.

Strong communication and reporting skills are crucial, along with the ability to work effectively in multicultural teams. Candidates should be willing to work on a rental basis and be available to operate within Riyadh.
