Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and proactive HSE Safety Officer to join our team for a project based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that all health, safety, and environmental standards are rigorously maintained throughout the project site, promoting a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting daily site inspections to verify adherence to company safety policies. Identifying potential hazards and assessing risks is essential, along with recommending effective corrective measures. You will lead safety briefings, such as toolbox talks and safety orientations, to raise awareness among staff. Managing permit-to-work systems and maintaining thorough documentation will also be part of your duties.

In addition, the Safety Officer will assist in investigating incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports to support continuous improvement. Collaborating with site supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to uphold safety standards is critical. The role also involves supporting emergency response planning and drills to ensure readiness at all times.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should hold a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. Certification such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or an equivalent health and safety qualification is mandatory. A minimum of 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in HSE roles is required, preferably within construction or industrial sectors.

The ideal applicant must have a thorough understanding of Saudi labor laws, safety regulations, and industry best practices. Strong communication and reporting abilities are essential, alongside the capacity to work effectively in multicultural teams. This position is on a rental basis and requires availability in Riyadh.
