Job Overview

We are actively seeking a committed and detail-oriented HSE / Safety Officer to join our team in Riyadh on a project and rental basis. This position plays a vital role in enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards to ensure a secure and compliant workplace across all operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting daily site inspections to verify adherence to company safety policies and regulatory requirements. This role also involves identifying potential hazards, performing risk assessments, and proposing appropriate corrective measures to mitigate risks. Leading safety meetings such as toolbox talks, orientations, and awareness sessions will be essential in promoting a culture of safety among employees.

Monitoring and managing permit-to-work systems, maintaining thorough documentation, participating in incident investigations, and preparing detailed reports are critical components of the role. Additionally, supporting emergency response preparations and drills ensures preparedness for unforeseen events. The Safety Officer will collaborate closely with site supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain compliance and high safety standards throughout the project site.

Maintaining accurate records of all safety inspections, trainings, and observations is essential for continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should possess a NEBOSH IGC, IOSH qualification, or an equivalent health, safety, and environment certification. Candidates must bring 5 to 7 years of proven experience working in safety roles, preferably within the construction or industrial sectors in Saudi Arabia. Strong communication and report-writing skills are essential to effectively convey safety information to a diverse workforce.

The ideal candidate will be adaptable to multicultural work environments and willing to commit to a rental-based employment arrangement. Only candidates located in Riyadh will be considered for this role.
