Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable Senior Government Relations Officer (PRO) with extensive experience in Saudi Arabia’s construction and engineering industry. This full-time role based in Riyadh requires a professional who can expertly manage government affairs, ensure compliance with licensing requirements, and facilitate approvals and permits critical to project success.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will oversee a broad range of government-related activities, including:
- Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with relevant Saudi government authorities and regulatory entities.
- Managing and renewing all company licenses, registrations, and statutory certificates to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Facilitating applications and approvals for construction permits, NOCs, and other necessary documentation for projects.
- Handling government inspections, addressing violation notices and fines, and coordinating corrective actions promptly.
- Operating government digital platforms to follow up on submissions, approvals, renewals, and other transactions.
- Collaborating with external service providers and internal teams to resolve government-related matters efficiently.
Required Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification.
- Minimum three years of relevant experience within Saudi Arabia’s construction or engineering sector.
- Proficiency in managing government licensing, registrations, permits, and NOCs with hands-on knowledge of Saudi regulations.
- Experience navigating government inspections, rectifications, and compliance enforcement actions including penalties and fines.
- Strong communication skills for liaising effectively with government officials and internal stakeholders.
- Fluency in Arabic at native or near-native level is preferred, alongside good working proficiency in English.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office and familiar with government electronic platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates who have worked with large construction contractors, engineering firms, or major infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia will have an advantage.
