Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager fluent in Arabic to lead a civil infrastructure project based in Shuqaiq Power Plant, Saudi Arabia. The role involves overseeing the execution of channels, dikes, riprap protection, culverts, and related civil works ensuring project completion on time, within budget, and compliant with all quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle from engineering coordination to procurement, construction, testing, and final close-out. You will work closely with design consultants, survey teams, hydrology experts, and regulatory bodies to ensure design accuracy and secure necessary technical approvals.
Supervising on-site construction teams, including engineers, supervisors, QA/QC inspectors, HSE staff, and subcontractors, will be essential. Monitoring project progress against schedules and milestones, reviewing and approving method statements, technical submittals, and shop drawings are critical functions of this role.
Leading coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and workflow forms a significant part of the responsibilities. You will also prepare regular progress reports, schedule updates, and productivity analyses while managing effective allocation of resources such as manpower, materials, and equipment.
Implementing robust quality management plans, safety policies, and risk mitigation strategies is vital to ensure compliance with SEC standards, project specifications, and international construction codes. The Project Manager will also oversee financial aspects, including budget control and evaluating contractual claims and variation orders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5 to 10 years of proven experience in civil infrastructure and industrial construction projects, with a strong preference for expertise in flood protection, drainage systems, channels, culverts, earthworks, and concrete structures.
- Proficient in construction planning and project control tools; Primavera P6 experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and multiple subcontractors effectively.
- Good knowledge of Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standards and Saudi infrastructure project requirements is an advantage.
- Fluency in Arabic is mandatory, and Saudi nationals are encouraged to apply.
