Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a seasoned Project Director with extensive experience in managing large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and proven expertise in leading multidisciplinary teams through all project phases, from mobilization to final handover.

Key Responsibilities

As the Project Director, you will oversee the entire project delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and client requirements. Your role includes:

• Leading cross-functional teams across Engineering, Construction, Commercial, Contracts, Planning, Design, Procurement, Logistics, QA/QC, HSE, and Project Controls.
• Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, project management consultants (PMC), consultants, and all key stakeholders.
• Providing strategic leadership, enforcing governance standards, managing risks, and delivering executive-level reporting.

Required Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, candidates must have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree will be considered an advantage.
• At least 20 years of experience managing large-scale construction projects.
• A minimum of 10 years in senior leadership roles such as Project Director, Construction Director, or Delivery Director.
• Demonstrated success with high-rise buildings, mixed-use developments, stadiums, hospitality projects, commercial complexes, or giga-projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, commercial management, stakeholder engagement, and project controls.
• Preferably experience within mega projects in the GCC region or Saudi Arabia.
• UK nationality is highly preferred for this current opportunity.

Work Location

This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the office located in Dammam.
