Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Civil Technical Office Engineer with at least five years of hands-on experience in construction and contracting projects. This role involves managing various technical office functions, including the preparation and review of shop drawings, quantity surveying, and ensuring effective coordination between site teams and consultants.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing and reviewing shop drawings and as-built drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Performing quantity take-offs and creating Bill of Quantities (BOQs)
• Reviewing project specifications and contract documentation thoroughly
• Preparing material submittals and following up with consultants for approvals
• Collaborating with site engineers to resolve technical challenges swiftly
• Drafting Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical correspondence
• Supporting planning and cost control teams as necessary
• Ensuring all work adheres to project standards and specifications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• A minimum of five years’ experience in technical office roles within construction projects
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and quantity surveying
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word
• Excellent analytical skills coupled with the ability to coordinate effectively with diverse teams
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
