Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Real Estate AP/AR Accountant to oversee the daily management of accounts payable and receivable tasks tied to tenants and vendors. This role is crucial for maintaining precise financial records, ensuring timely payments and collections, and supporting month-end and year-end financial closings. The accountant will collaborate closely with the Property Manager to assist in budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting on property profitability.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions that include:

• Handling day-to-day Accounts Payable and Receivable transactions involving tenants and vendors.
• Preparing, reviewing, and processing tenant invoices and vendor bills accurately and promptly.
• Recording tenant payments correctly and actively following up on outstanding receivables to ensure efficient collections.
• Reconciling tenant and vendor accounts alongside general ledger balances to maintain accuracy.
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing accruals and completing reconciliations.
• Assisting with budgeting, performing variance analyses, and generating reports on property profitability.
• Maintaining updated and precise financial records within the accounting and property management software systems.
• Coordinating with the Property Manager to guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience handling accounts payable and receivable, preferably within real estate accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliation processes, and internal financial controls.
• Proficiency with accounting software and property management systems is essential.
• Excellent analytical skills combined with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple responsibilities and meet strict deadlines.

Employment Terms and Eligibility

The position comes with a three-month probation period and is open to all nationalities. Candidates must hold a transferable Iqama valid for at least three months and be aged 35 years or below.
