Job Overview

Al Ghurair Facilities Solutions – Infrastructure Division is seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to join their team immediately. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in engineering and hands-on experience in water treatment processes, who are passionate about health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Safety Officer will oversee operations related to water treatment, including ozone and UV systems. Responsibilities include managing the operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of pumps, filtration systems, dosing units, and instrumentation. The role also involves ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and maintaining comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Required Skills and Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in water treatment and related systems
• Practical knowledge of pumps, filtration, dosing, and instrumentation
• Strong skills in operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting
• In-depth understanding of HSE protocols and maintenance procedures

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with Animal Life Support Systems such as those used in aquariums, zoos, or aquaculture facilities is a significant advantage.
