Job Overview

Madre Integrated Engineering is seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards on site, ensuring strict compliance with regulations and promoting a culture of safety within QatarEnergy LNG projects.

Key Responsibilities

The HSE Officer will be responsible for enforcing HSE policies and guidelines across the project sites. Key duties include conducting regular site inspections, audits, and thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards. The role demands close adherence to QatarEnergy LNG HSE standards and the permit-to-work system, ensuring all safety procedures are properly followed.

Daily tasks include monitoring toolbox talks, safety briefings, and ensuring that personnel correctly use personal protective equipment and other safety tools. The officer must promptly report all incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, while keeping accurate and up-to-date HSE documentation, reports, and records. Furthermore, the position involves coordinating with various site teams to foster a strong safety culture and ensuring emergency preparedness protocols are consistently upheld.

Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering or a related field. A minimum of five years of experience as an HSE Officer in oil and gas or LNG projects is essential. Experience working with QatarEnergy or Ras Laffan projects is highly preferred, reflecting familiarity with local industry standards.

A strong understanding of HSE regulations, risk management, incident investigation, and technical knowledge of the Permit to Work system is necessary. The ability to communicate effectively and report clearly is vital for success in this role. Candidates must be adaptable and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced project environment.
