Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Safety Officer approved by QatarEnergy to join a project based in Mesaieed, Qatar. This is a contract position for three months with the possibility of extension. Candidates must be currently residing in Qatar and hold a valid Qatar ID to be considered. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience in the oil and gas sector, specifically related to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety protocols compliant with QatarEnergy standards. This includes conducting risk assessments, ensuring adherence to HSE best practices, maintaining documentation, and effectively communicating safety measures across teams to minimize workplace hazards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in safety management or related fields
• Valid QatarEnergy ePTW certification is mandatory
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
• NEBOSH International General Certificate achieved by 2022
• Strong familiarity with QatarEnergy’s HSE regulations and industry best practices
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Availability for immediate start
• Currently based in Qatar with a valid Qatar ID

Work Environment

This role is located on-site in Mesaieed, Qatar, involving close coordination with the QatarEnergy team and onsite contractors. The position demands a proactive approach to safety management within a dynamic oil and gas environment.
