Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Safety Officer with a solid background in construction safety to join our ongoing project in Al Wakra, Qatar. This is a local hire opportunity for immediate engagement on a three-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health and safety standards on site, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Duties include conducting risk assessments, performing regular site inspections, leading toolbox talks, and managing incident reporting to foster a safe working environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience working in construction projects within the Middle East, particularly in commercial buildings or villa construction
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) certified, issued in 2022 or earlier
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction HSE regulations
• Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and site safety protocols
• Ability to conduct effective safety training and communication
• Valid Qatar ID (QID) is mandatory
• Freelancers are encouraged to apply
