Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a qualified Safety Officer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This position is for a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. The role requires immediate availability and focuses on ensuring rigorous health and safety standards in civil building construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing and overseeing EHS management systems across construction sites. Key duties include conducting comprehensive HSE audits, investigating workplace incidents, and managing emergency response procedures. Maintaining accurate HSE documentation and promoting a safe work environment will be essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering (minimum 3 years of formal education).
• Valid NEBOSH IGC certification (issued on or before 2022), along with IOSH and OSHA certifications.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the Gulf region, specifically in civil building construction safety.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental management systems and protocols.
• Proven track record in conducting HSE audits and incident investigations.
• Ability to handle emergency situations and enforce compliance with safety regulations.
• Immediate local availability in Qatar is mandatory for prompt joining.
