Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified and seasoned HSE Officer to join a leading project based in Mesaieed, Qatar. This is a one-year contract position with the possibility of extension, ideal for candidates with extensive experience in health, safety, and environmental management within the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities

The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. This role requires proactive risk assessment and management, conducting safety audits, and promoting a safety-first culture across all project operations. Regular reporting and effective communication with both onsite team members and management are also essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A graduate or diploma holder in a relevant field
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is mandatory
• IOSH certification is preferred
• Over 10 years of experience in HSE roles, including at least 5 years in the oil and gas industry
• Minimum 3 years of HSE experience working in Qatar is essential
• An additional 2 years of oil and gas HSE experience from GCC countries will be considered

Preferred Experience

Candidates with strong knowledge of Qatar’s health and safety regulations and proven exposure to challenging environments within the Gulf region will have an advantage. Experience in conducting safety training sessions and emergency preparedness is highly valued.
