Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced HSE Officer to join an ongoing oil and gas project based in Ras Laffan, Qatar. This position is initially offered on a one-month contract with the possibility of extension. The role demands a strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing health, safety, and environmental policies on-site, conducting routine safety audits, performing risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to permit to work (PTW) systems. The role involves close coordination with project management and field teams to maintain a safe working environment in line with Qatar Energy or Shell project standards.

Required Skills and Experience

• NEBOSH IGC certification Levels 1, 2, and 3 are mandatory
• IOSH certification is required
• Diploma or graduate qualification
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector
• Proven experience in projects under Qatar Energy or Shell
• In-depth understanding of HSE procedures, safety regulations, risk assessments, and PTW systems
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends, and operate in challenging site environments

Work Schedule

The successful candidate will work 10-hour shifts, 6 days per week, adapting to the project’s operational needs.
