Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled HSE Coordinator to join a civil building construction project based in Doha, Qatar. This is a six-month contract role with the possibility of extension. The position requires immediate availability, preferably for candidates currently residing locally.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will ensure the enforcement and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental standards in all project operations. Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring EHS systems, conducting safety audits, leading incident investigations, maintaining safety documentation, and managing emergency response procedures. The role demands proactive attention to compliance and risk mitigation throughout the construction phases.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering from a recognized institution, with a minimum of three years’ education.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) Level 3 certification obtained in or before 2022.
• Additionally, certifications such as IOSH and OSHA are essential.
• Minimum of 8 to 10 years of professional experience in Health, Safety, and Environment roles, including at least 3 years within the Gulf region.
• Strong knowledge of EHS systems and compliance, capable of conducting thorough audits and investigations.
• Ability to prepare and maintain detailed safety documentation and facilitate effective emergency protocols.

Work Environment

The role is based on-site and involves collaborating with various stakeholders in a civil engineering construction environment. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic setting with on-ground safety responsibilities and active engagement with project teams.
