Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join a five-year shutdown project based in Oman. This role is ideal for professionals with a solid background in refinery or oil and gas shutdown operations, specifically candidates with hands-on experience at Oman OQ sites.

Key Responsibilities
The Safety Officer will play a critical role in maintaining a safe working environment during shutdown activities. Primary duties include overseeing safety practices in heat exchanger maintenance, implementing and monitoring Permit to Work (PTW) systems, ensuring Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed, supervising confined space operations, managing hot work safety, and controlling risks associated with ultra-high-pressure (UHP) hydrojetting.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of safety experience in refinery or oil and gas shutdown projects
- Hands-on experience working on Oman OQ shutdown projects is essential
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards relevant to shutdown activities
- Proficient in handling safety requirements related to heat exchanger maintenance, PTW, LOTO, confined space entry, hot work, and UHP hydrojetting
- Graduation degree with a valid NEBOSH certification is mandatory
