Job Overview
A leading Oil and Gas company in Kuwait is seeking a qualified and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Supervisor to join their team immediately. This role demands a strong background in implementing and managing HSE protocols within the challenging oil and gas industry, ensuring compliance with both local and international safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day HSE operations, conducting safety inspections and audits, delivering toolbox talks, and leading safety training initiatives. They will also handle risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident investigations to mitigate safety risks across all project phases. Maintaining accurate HSE documentation, preparing reports, and monitoring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements are critical functions of this role. Emergency response planning and managing safety management systems will also be key duties.
Required Skills and Experience
- Deep understanding of HSE regulations, risk management, and incident investigation techniques.
- Proven experience implementing and monitoring HSE policies within the Oil & Gas industry, particularly on Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) projects.
- Capability to perform thorough safety audits, conduct effective safety meetings, and deliver onsite safety training.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills critical for fostering a culture of safety.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 standards and other international HSE frameworks is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in emergency response planning and safety management systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years in an HSE role within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Mandatory possession of a professional HSE certification like NEBOSH or an equivalent qualification.
- Valid transferable visa (Article 18) allowing immediate joining in Kuwait.
