Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Engineer to join our team in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies to ensure compliance with safety management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Safety Engineer will be responsible for conducting thorough risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards. They will also provide essential safety training for staff to promote a culture of safety awareness within the organization.

Additional duties include analyzing incidents, near misses, and hazards by utilizing methodologies such as Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). The role requires collaboration with external parties, regulatory agencies, and certification bodies to maintain accurate records and reports that reflect ongoing safety performance.

Required Skills and Certifications

• Strong understanding of HSE standards and local safety regulations.
• Experience with emergency response planning and disaster management.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), First Aid Training, Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or expertise in emerging safety technologies like IoT-based safety monitoring systems.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a similar safety role is required.

This is a full-time position based in Khobar. The role demands proactive involvement in maintaining a safe work environment and compliance with all relevant HSE policies.
