Job Overview

We are currently seeking a seasoned QHSE Consultant to join our client’s team on a freelance basis in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This contract position offers an initial duration of 3 to 6 months, with a possibility of extension based on project needs. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management, ensuring compliance with international standards and promoting a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining QHSE systems aligned with industry regulations and organizational policies. Main duties include:

• Conducting audits and inspections to ensure compliance with standards such as ISO and IMO.
• Managing and updating essential QHSE documentation including manuals, procedures, forms, and safety data sheets.
• Leading safety awareness initiatives through toolbox talks, training sessions, and safety campaigns to promote best practices.
• Investigating incidents, compiling reports on accidents and near-misses, and performing root cause analysis to enhance workplace safety.
• Preparing detailed monthly reports on safety performance, statistics, and identifying trends for continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills to succeed in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in QHSE roles with a strong background in ISO standards and compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to industrial operations.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey safety information and conduct training.
• Proficiency in document control systems and managing safety documentation accurately.

Work Location and Duration

This role is based in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The contract is initially set for 3 to 6 months with the potential to extend depending on project requirements. Candidates must be available immediately and open to freelance engagement.
