Job Opportunity – Protection Engineer (KSA Experience Required)

Role Overview
A Protection Engineer is a specialized Electrical Engineer responsible for ensuring the safety, stability, and reliability of power systems. The role involves designing, testing, and maintaining protection schemes including relays, circuit breakers, and control systems to prevent system failures and outages.
Key Responsibilities
Perform short-circuit analysis and relay coordination studies
Develop and implement relay settings for transmission and distribution systems
Conduct FAT & SAT testing, relay programming, and troubleshooting
Perform fault analysis and system performance evaluation
Prepare and review protection schemes, single-line diagrams, and schematics
Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and SASO standards
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
Minimum 5+ years of experience, preferably in Saudi Arabia
Strong experience in substations, transmission & distribution systems
Proficiency in software such as ETAP, CAPE, ASPEN, or DIgSILENT
Familiar with NEMA, IEC, IEEE, and SASO standards
SEQ Approval preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) certification is an advantage
