Requirement : MEP / FITOUT ENGINEER

Job Summary
The MEP / Fit-Out Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) and interior fit-out works on construction projects. The role ensures that systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
1. MEP Works Coordination
• Review and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and BOQs
• Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and subcontractors
• Ensure MEP services are properly integrated with architectural and structural elements
2. Fit-Out Execution
• Supervise interior fit-out works including HVAC, lighting, power, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Ensure compliance with project design, local authority regulations, and safety standards
• Monitor site progress and resolve technical issues
3. Site Supervision
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and workmanship
• Verify installations meet approved shop drawings and method statements
• Coordinate with site teams to avoid clashes and delays
4. Project Planning & Monitoring
• Prepare work schedules and monitor progress against timelines
• Assist in resource planning (materials, manpower, equipment)
• Report project status, risks, and delays to management
5. Quality & Compliance
• Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures and standards
• Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems
• Maintain documentation including inspection reports and approvals
6. Health & Safety
• Ensure all works comply with HSE policies and regulations
• Identify and mitigate risks on site
• Promote a safe working environment
7. Documentation & Reporting
• Prepare and review shop drawings, RFIs, and as-built drawings
• Maintain project records, logs, and reports
• Liaise with authorities for approvals and inspections

Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field
• 3–8 years of experience in MEP and fit-out projects
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems
• Experience with commercial, residential, or retail fit-out projects
• Familiarity with local codes and authority requirements
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (Revit is a plus)
