Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HSE Engineer to join our team for a Finishing and Fit-Out project based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This role requires an experienced professional to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all activities align with local regulations and company standards. Immediate hiring is preferred for this position.
Key Responsibilities
The HSE Engineer will play a critical role in enhancing workplace safety and environmental protection. Primary duties include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive HSE plans, policies, and procedures tailored for Finishing and Fit-Out projects.
- Ensuring strict compliance with Saudi Arabian safety laws and project-specific requirements.
- Conducting thorough risk assessments and identifying potential hazards to prevent accidents.
- Performing regular safety inspections and monitoring site operations to maintain safe working conditions.
- Leading toolbox talks, safety training sessions, and awareness programs to educate the workforce.
- Investigating any incidents or accidents promptly and preparing detailed reports for management review.
- Ensuring the correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety tools on site.
- Collaborating closely with project teams to foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Requirements
Ideal candidates will meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- At least 5 years of proven experience specifically in Finishing and Fit-Out project environments.
- Deep knowledge of HSE standards and regulations applicable in Saudi Arabia.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH or OSHA are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities to effectively convey safety information.
Mandatory Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- An Iqama profession matching that of an HSE Engineer or Safety Engineer.
- Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SEC), with the registration category aligning with the advertised profession.
