Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Safety Officer to join our team in Jeddah. In this role, you will develop, implement, and monitor occupational health and safety (OHS) policies to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. Your efforts will be key in maintaining an environment that meets legal standards and protects all employees.

Key Responsibilities

The Safety Officer will be responsible for regularly inspecting the work site, machinery, and tools to detect hazards early. You will conduct thorough risk assessments and put preventive measures in place to minimize risks. Ensuring compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations is essential, including OSHA standards. When accidents or near-misses occur, you will lead investigations to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. Additionally, organizing and delivering safety training, orientations, and emergency drills will be a vital part of your role. You will maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incident reports, and training sessions, and you’ll also develop and update emergency response plans to be ready for any situation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should hold relevant safety certifications and have a strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations. Excellent communication and organizational skills are crucial, as is the ability to remain calm and make quick decisions during emergencies. Attention to detail and a proactive approach towards hazard prevention are expected.
