Job Overview

MPG for General Contracting is seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to join our team for ongoing construction projects in Jeddah. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe working environment by implementing health and safety guidelines and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

The Safety Officer will be responsible for enforcing safety policies on site, conducting regular inspections to spot potential risks, and delivering safety training sessions including toolbox talks for the workers. They will also oversee the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), investigate any incidents or accidents, and document findings thoroughly.

Additional duties include preparing daily and weekly safety reports for management review, monitoring emergency response and evacuation plans, and ensuring all operations adhere to applicable safety standards and regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Between 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar safety role within the construction or contracting field
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety, with preference given to OSHA or NEBOSH credentials
• Strong understanding of safety protocols, laws, and industry best practices
• Effective communication skills for reporting and training purposes
• Proficiency in English for clear documentation and communication

Work Location and Salary
