Job Overview
Richemont Dubai is seeking a Finance Operations Controller to join its Finance Department. This role supports the Richemont Brands in managing internal financial operations efficiently within a rapidly growing environment, ensuring compliance and operational excellence across retail boutiques.
Key Responsibilities
The Finance Operations Controller will act as a trusted business partner for the Richemont Brands. Responsibilities include:
- Serving as the primary contact for all compliance and control matters related to daily operations in boutiques and brand activities.
- Evaluating boutiques’ process adherence and collaborating with brands to implement regular training programs that enhance retail operational standards.
- Providing ongoing local support by sharing system and process knowledge on retail workflows with brands and boutiques.
- Supporting new boutique openings by supplying necessary documentation, policies, and tools prior to launch.
- Handling boutique closures and significant event support on behalf of Richemont.
- Managing submission of annual boutique sales reports to mall management, when applicable.
Additionally, the role involves robust finance operations and internal control duties such as:
- Performing internal control reviews and compliance audits of boutiques within scope.
- Contributing to the refinement and consistency of regional boutique audit methodologies and ensuring proper execution across the UAE and neighboring countries.
- Coordinating and following up on audit action plans and executing surprise audits as needed.
- Maintaining retail compliance and control by monitoring business flows, adherence to commercial policies, and inventory management.
- Conducting yearly stock takes, bi-annual consignment and gift tracker confirmations, and monitoring brand cycle counts.
- Testing internal control systems and promoting controls awareness among finance and retail teams.
- Overseeing relationships with local credit card acquirers to ensure contract compliance and proper governance.
In support of business analysis and reporting, the controller will:
- Prepare sales analyses for boutiques and brands.
- Develop retail key performance indicators.
- Generate ad-hoc reports based on brand requirements, including client mix and VAT refund documentation.
The role also involves managing finance-centric projects, coordinating with finance department heads on initiatives that improve business operations and efficiency, such as new boutique launches, e-commerce integrations, audit coordination, and process improvements.
Required Skills and Experience
