We are excited to partner with a reputable international higher education institution based in Dubai to fill the position of Finance Officer. This role is ideal for a skilled finance professional with over four years of experience who is eager to contribute to a dynamic academic environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing financial operations and supporting compliance within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

The Finance Officer will oversee the full accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions. Responsibilities include processing supplier invoices, managing payments, and performing bank reconciliations. The role also supports month-end and year-end closing procedures, assists in preparing financial reports, budgets, and variance analyses, and handles credit control alongside student billing. Additionally, the officer will process purchase orders, maintain precise financial data within Sage 300 ERP, and collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and overseas finance departments. Compliance activities such as VAT, corporate tax, and audit support are also integral parts of the position.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in finance or accounting, demonstrating strong capabilities in bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management. Proficiency with Sage 300 ERP is essential, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. A solid understanding of UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations is required to fulfill compliance responsibilities effectively.
