Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sales Engineer to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This role is focused on promoting and selling hydraulic and industrial products, offering technical expertise to meet client needs and achieve sales goals. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager or General Manager, the Sales Engineer will play a key role in business development and customer support.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and promoting hydraulic hoses, cylinders, fittings, and related services. The role includes preparing accurate quotations, conducting site visits to provide tailored technical solutions, and coordinating with workshop and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the Sales Engineer will follow up on payments, support collections, maintain records using ERP/CRM systems, and submit regular performance reports.
Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this position, candidates should have a minimum of four years’ experience in sales within Saudi Arabia, ideally in hydraulic or industrial sectors. A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is preferred. Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems is essential, alongside excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to establish and nurture client relationships, solve technical problems efficiently, and analyze sales data to drive results.
Additional Requirements
A valid Saudi driving license is mandatory, as the position requires frequent travel to client sites and industrial locations. Fluency in English is required, while proficiency in Arabic is considered an advantage. Willingness to travel within the region is also expected.
