Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand market presence in the fuel additives and wash oil sector, primarily across Saudi Arabia with potential growth opportunities in the IMEA region. This role plays a critical part in advancing the company’s corporate accounts strategy by targeting key account expansion and strengthening our leading position within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead market expansion efforts by implementing strategic sales plans, targeting high-potential sites, and collaborating closely with regional sales teams and local technology groups. Core duties include developing and executing sales strategies, building strong relationships with national and international oil and gas companies, and managing the sales pipeline through comprehensive opportunity tracking and prioritization.

• Champion safety and support a zero-incident workplace aligned with company policies
• Develop long-term customer relationships across multiple organizational levels
• Collaborate with managers and teams to grow sustainable and profitable business opportunities
• Own projects in assigned geographic areas while working effectively within a team
• Promote the Nalco Water Downstream strategy to enhance business growth and customer satisfaction
• Lead tender processes and position the company competitively to secure wins
• Provide technical and commercial support related to performance specifications and profitability
• Utilize company resources effectively to meet business goals

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Petroleum Science (Associate degree considered)
• Minimum 15 years experience in fuel additives, chemicals, and specialty chemicals within the oil and gas sector, specifically in business development
• Demonstrated experience engaging with National Oil Companies
• Deep understanding of regional political, social, and cultural dynamics
• Strong organizational ability with multitasking and prioritization skills
• Proactive, self-driven professional capable of working independently and within teams
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and networking skills
