We are currently looking for a dedicated and skilled Scaffolding Safety Officer to join our team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that all scaffolding operations align with safety guidelines, company policies, and project demands. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scaffolding safety management within the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Scaffolding Safety Officer include performing routine inspections of scaffolding setups and surrounding work areas. You will be responsible for ensuring all scaffolding erection, modification, and dismantling processes adhere to local laws and industry standards. Identifying potential risks and putting corrective measures into effect are essential parts of this position. Additionally, conducting toolbox talks and safety briefings for the workforce will be required to promote ongoing awareness. You will also prepare detailed safety reports, maintain thorough inspection records, and lead incident investigations when necessary. Collaboration with site management and contractors is crucial to maintaining a secure working environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants should hold a relevant Safety Officer certification, with preference given to those possessing Scaffolding Inspector or Supervisor credentials. A minimum of three years’ experience in scaffolding safety supervision is expected. Candidates must exhibit comprehensive knowledge of construction safety regulations and standards. Strong communication skills are essential for reporting and coordinating safety efforts. The ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced construction environment is also important.
