Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified HSE Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, specializing in roads, bridges, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of relevant experience and be ready for immediate employment. This role offers a competitive salary, negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

The HSE Engineer will be responsible for implementing and overseeing project health, safety, and environmental plans in compliance with UAE regulations and construction safety standards. Duties include conducting regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to monitor construction activities and maintain a safe working environment. Preparing and reviewing essential safety documents such as Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Permit to Work (PTW) is also required.

Additional responsibilities include leading toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions to promote HSE culture on site. The role also involves investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, recommending corrective measures to prevent recurrence. The engineer will oversee site safety for critical operations including excavation, lifting, working at heights, and the use of heavy equipment. Maintaining accurate HSE records and coordinating with project teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance and safety standards are upheld will be essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Health, Safety & Environment, or a related discipline.
• Certified with NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or equivalent health and safety qualifications.
• In-depth understanding of UAE HSE laws and construction safety codes.
• Proven experience with developing HSE plans, conducting risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits.
• Skilled in delivering toolbox talks and performing thorough incident investigations.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities to clearly convey safety information and findings.
