Safety officer with Aramco and Oil and Gas experience.
We are looking for Safety Officer with 5-7 years of experience in Saudi Aramco, SABIC and other Oil & Gas and petrochemical project’s background preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring that safety standards and procedures are effectively implemented at our worksites and projects in compliance with Aramco’s safety regulations and guidelines. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding the health and well-being of our employees and contractors, as well as protecting the environment.
Ensure strict adherence to Aramco safety standards and procedures at all project sites. Should be aware of Aramco’s GIs, CSSP, CRM, ERP, PSI and relevant Aramco Procedures
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices. Implement corrective actions as necessary.
Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees and contractors, covering topics such as hazard identification, emergency response, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Lead and oversee incident investigations, including near misses, accidents, and environmental incidents. Analyze root causes and recommend preventive measures
Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, reports, and documentation including safety data sheets (SDS) and safety procedures.
Ensure compliance to emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness for emergencies.
Promote a strong safety culture within the organization, encouraging all employees and contractors to prioritize safety in their daily work.
Conduct risk assessments for various work activities and propose risk mitigation measures
Ensure the availability, maintenance and proper use of safety equipment and personal protective gear.
Effectively communicate safety requirements and guidelines to all personnel and work with project managers to address safety concerns.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or a related field.
Experience required: 3 – 5 Years Proven experience as a Construction Engineer, with a strong track record in managing construction projects, including leadership roles on large projects.
Industry preference: Candidates with Aramco Experience is ideal to apply. Aramco-approved Safety Officer is highly preferable
