AC/DC Electric Motors Technician Required

Description

We are looking for Electric Motor Rewinding Technician. He will be responsible for dismantling, inspecting, rewinding, repairing, assembling, and testing AC/DC electric motors and rotating equipment. The role ensures motors are restored to OEM specifications, operational efficiency, and safety standards for industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities

Dismantle, inspect, and diagnose faults in AC/DC motors, generators, and rotating equipment

Remove old windings and prepare stators/rotors for rewinding

Perform coil winding, insulation, slot preparation, lacing, and impregnation as per specifications

Select and apply appropriate insulation materials, varnishes, and resins

Reassemble motors and components, ensuring correct clearances and alignment

Conduct electrical tests such as insulation resistance (IR), surge comparison, resistance, and hipot tests

Perform mechanical checks including bearing replacement, balancing, and shaft alignment

Ensure rewinding work meets OEM standards and client technical requirements

Maintain detailed job cards, test reports, and rewinding records

Follow HSE rules, safe work procedures, and housekeeping standards

Support troubleshooting during motor commissioning and performance testing

Coordinate with supervisors and engineers for quality assurance and continuous improvement
