Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Auditor to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This role requires a strong background in occupational health and safety, with in-depth knowledge of UAE regulations and extensive auditing experience in high-risk industries. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with HSE standards and promoting safety governance within our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough HSE audits across various high-risk sectors including aluminum or steel smelters, energy, oil and gas, and petrochemical industries.
- Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH) requirements, as well as Dubai Municipality and UAE HSE legal frameworks.
- Identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions to enhance workplace safety.
- Lead efforts to maintain and improve ISO 45001 safety management systems and contribute to ISO 14001 environmental standards where applicable.
- Collaborate with management to develop safety governance strategies that align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or an equivalent qualification.
- Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 45001; certification in ISO 14001 is preferred.
- Deep understanding of ADOSH and UAE HSE legal regulations.
- Proven experience of 5 to 7 years in HSE auditing or in a safety governance role.
- Demonstrated audit experience in heavy industries or high-risk environments such as energy, oil and gas, aluminium or steel smelting, and petrochemical sectors.
