Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled female Shadow Teacher to provide personalized support for a 17-year-old boy with autism. This role focuses on fostering his independence, enhancing daily living skills, building confidence, and encouraging active community involvement through a practical and structured approach.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work closely with the student to develop and implement individualized daily routines and learning goals. This includes teaching essential life skills, supporting sensory integration, utilizing occupational therapy techniques, and facilitating social participation. Additionally, the role involves encouraging physical fitness activities and promoting speech, communication, and language development.

Required Skills and Experience

• Expertise in life skills and independence training
• Understanding of sensory integration methods
• Familiarity with occupational therapy practices
• Experience supporting community integration and social participation
• Ability to encourage gym activities, physical exercise, and fitness
• Knowledge of speech, communication, and language development techniques
• Prior experience working with teenagers or young adults on the autism spectrum
• Capability to design and follow structured, individualized development plans
• Patience, professionalism, and strong communication skills, especially with family members

Candidate Requirements
