We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist with significant experience in the steel manufacturing sector. This role is based in Hyderabad, India and involves managing the entire procurement process, building supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost efficiencies. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from ₹8 to 12 LPA and is a full-time opportunity for candidates with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Identifying, assessing, and negotiating with suppliers for raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and maintenance components.
- Handling pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial agreements.
- Maintaining and strengthening partnerships with strategic suppliers.
- Monitoring inventory levels effectively to avoid stock shortages or surpluses.
- Collaborating with Quality Control teams to verify that materials comply with required specifications and standards.
- Keeping accurate procurement documentation and adhering to company policies.
- Evaluating procurement choices for cost-effectiveness and long-term benefits.
- Creating and implementing procurement strategies that support overall business goals.
- Driving continuous improvements within procurement and supply chain functions.
Required Skills and Experience
This role demands a candidate with:
- 5 to 8 years of extensive procurement experience, including a minimum of 5 years in the steel industry.
- Background in manufacturing procurement processes.
- Understanding of international trade regulations and business operations.
- Strong knowledge of material codes and industry-specific specifications.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
