Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Supermarket Manager to oversee daily operations at our busy retail location in the United Arab Emirates. This role involves ensuring smooth functioning, maintaining high standards in customer service, and leading a dynamic team to meet sales and operational targets within the supermarket environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage all aspects of supermarket operations, including staff supervision, inventory control, and sales performance. Key duties include monitoring stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking, managing stock expiry and product displays, and implementing pricing and promotional strategies to maximize revenue. The manager will also be responsible for controlling losses, damages, and wastage, handling daily cash operations, and preparing detailed reports to track business performance.

Maintaining store cleanliness and presentation standards is essential, as is ensuring staff attendance, discipline, and productivity. Coordination with other departments such as warehouse, purchasing, finance, human resources, and senior management is required to align operations with company policies and health and safety regulations.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in supermarket or retail management, preferably within the UAE market. Strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage and motivate a team are critical. A thorough understanding of supermarket operations, inventory management, sales optimization, and the ability to consistently meet targets is essential for success in this role.
