Job Overview

Gulf International LLC is seeking a dedicated Assistant Storekeeper to support warehouse operations within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. This full-time position, based in Sharjah, UAE, plays a key role in managing inventory accurately and ensuring smooth warehouse workflows.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Storekeeper will handle all sales return transactions (GRV) promptly according to established timelines. Responsibilities include invoicing for near-expiry and saleable damaged goods and ensuring the efficient transfer of saleable stock to designated storage areas. You will also monitor the segregation, proper storage, and eventual disposal of expired and damaged inventory, maintaining compliance with company SOPs and HSE standards. Coordination with departments such as Sales, Accounts Receivable, Delivery, and Put-away teams is critical to maintain seamless operations. Additionally, overseeing team productivity and promoting continuous process improvements fall under this role. Ensuring the upkeep and proper maintenance of assigned material handling equipment (MHE) is essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree and possess 2 to 3 years of relevant warehouse experience within the UAE, preferably in the FMCG industry. Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills are required to manage inventory data and reporting effectively. Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and logical problem-solving skills are vital for success in this role. Excellent communication and coordination skills are necessary to collaborate effectively across teams.

Work Environment

This position is based in a warehouse setting in Sharjah, requiring adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols. Working in a fast-paced FMCG environment demands efficiency, accuracy, and a proactive approach to managing stock and warehouse activities.
