Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and visionary Head of IT to lead our enterprise applications and drive digital transformation initiatives. Based in the United Arab Emirates, this leadership role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of enterprise application management, collaborating closely with business units, and ensuring technology solutions align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for steering the strategy around enterprise applications, including modernizing systems and implementing digital transformation projects. This involves managing upgrades, support, integrations, performance, and collaborating with vendors to maintain SLAs and service quality. The role requires close coordination with cross-functional teams to design effective technology solutions that optimize business processes. Ensuring compliance with IT governance, security protocols, audit practices, and risk management is a critical part of this position. Additionally, leading and mentoring both application support and development teams forms a fundamental aspect of this job.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 12 to 15 years in the IT sector, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity overseeing applications.
• Proven expertise with ERP, CRM, HRMS systems, along with integration technologies such as APIs and middleware.
• Strong background in SaaS platforms and managing significant digital transformation efforts.
• In-depth understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, DevOps, and ITIL frameworks.
• Familiarity with the UAE or broader GCC IT landscape is preferred.
• Professional certifications like PMP, ITIL, Agile, TOGAF, or Cloud-related credentials will be considered an asset.
