Job Overview

SDV Consulting Engineers is seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer / Project Manager to lead and oversee consultancy supervision services across multiple construction projects in the UAE. This role involves ensuring projects are completed within schedule, budget, and meet quality standards, while maintaining effective coordination among all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for overall project performance management including planning, scheduling, and execution with established project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera. Regular progress meetings with engineers, contractors, and clients will be held to maintain alignment with project goals. The role includes document control, managing risk and issue logs, evaluating contractor change requests and claims, and leading critical negotiations to resolve project challenges. Additionally, acting as the main point of contact for external parties such as asset owners, utility providers, government authorities, and consultants will be crucial for project success.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• At least 15 years of experience in project supervision and delivery.
• Minimum of 10 years spent as a Resident Engineer or Project Manager managing at least two construction projects within the UAE.
• Proficiency in project management software like MS Project or Primavera.
• PMP and PQP certifications are considered advantageous.
• Strong leadership qualities with excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Abu Dhabi regulations, local construction standards, and relevant authorities’ requirements.
