Job Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated Distribution Agent to join our team in the United Arab Emirates. This position focuses on ensuring the efficient and timely movement of freight and related information while maintaining excellent customer service standards within the Distribution department.
Key Responsibilities
The Distribution Agent will be responsible for handling daily customer orders and managing distribution accounts with accuracy and promptness. You will generate daily operational reports and handle precise data entry tasks related to receiving, order allocation, shipping, and inventory management. The role demands proactive monitoring and tracing of orders, keeping customers informed about their shipment status. Additionally, you will oversee accurate client and vendor billing, maintain damage records and backorder logs, and ensure warehouse staff have all documentation needed to process shipments and receipts efficiently. Building and sustaining strong relationships with vendors is also a critical part of this role, alongside offering support by assisting with various other projects, filing, and research tasks as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience ranging from six months to one year in a similar distribution or transportation-related role, or an equivalent mix of education and experience
- Clear understanding of transportation processes across multiple models is an advantage
- Certification in handling hazardous materials is preferred but not mandatory
- Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Professional attitude with a positive, helpful mindset
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen carefully, communicate clearly, and deliver positive outcomes
