Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Buyer with a solid background in procurement to join our team in Abu Dhabi within the steel and manufacturing industry. This role requires a professional who can efficiently manage the purchasing process from start to finish, ensuring high quality, cost-effective sourcing solutions aligned with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Buyer will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for materials and services. Responsibilities include preparing and managing RFQs and RFPs, conducting thorough commercial evaluations, and recommending reliable suppliers. The role involves negotiating favorable commercial terms to secure the best value, quality, and timely delivery. Additionally, the Buyer will issue purchase orders, track supplier performance, and maintain accurate records within SAP ERP and sourcing platforms.

Supporting supplier relationship management, providing market insights, and driving cost-saving initiatives are key components. Ensuring compliance with company procurement policies, ethical standards, and health, safety, and environmental regulations is crucial.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university.
• At least 5 years of procurement experience, ideally in a transactional sourcing environment.
• Strong expertise in handling RFQs, RFPs, supplier negotiations, commercial evaluations, and purchase orders.
• Proficiency in SAP ERP and various sourcing platforms.
• Good grasp of modern procurement practices, contract management, commercial data, and total cost of ownership concepts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
