Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with a strong background in Compliance to join a leading financial institution in the United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of compliance products, processes, and systems, with a focus on regulatory frameworks and risk management. This role involves supporting project implementation and configuration, particularly in Customer Due Diligence (CDD) systems, while working within Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and enhancing compliance controls and systems. This includes:
- Understanding and documenting compliance products and internal processes.
- Providing expertise on compliance architecture and applications such as Customer and Payment Screening, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), FATCA, CRS, and Obligations Register.
- Supporting the implementation and configuration of CDD systems like Fenergo or Pega.
- Utilizing customer risk rating tools and models to improve compliance measures.
- Collaborating with IT and project management teams to deliver compliance-related projects efficiently using Agile methodologies.
- Preparing detailed project documentation, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of compliance systems including sanctions screening, regulatory compliance, monitoring, and AML practices.
- Experience working with compliance and customer due diligence technology platforms.
- Knowledge of Agile principles and experience in Agile project delivery.
- Proficient in business analysis and IT project management documentation.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and project visualization tools.
- Ability to manage and execute projects in a large banking or financial institution setting.
Requirements
- Multiple years of relevant experience in compliance roles within banking or financial services.
- Practical experience with compliance tools and frameworks such as AML, FATCA, CRS, and customer risk rating methodologies.
- Familiarity with CDD system implementation such as Fenergo or Pega preferred.
