Job Overview

A prominent bank in Dubai is seeking an experienced SAS Testing Consultant to support their compliance and banking system integrations. This role focuses on testing the integration of various bank systems with compliance transaction monitoring and data mart systems, ensuring smooth and accurate data flow across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

The main duties include:

• Testing integration between bank systems and compliance transaction monitoring systems.
• Validating connections with compliance data marts and other compliance-related systems.
• Designing, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining SAS programs using SAS Enterprise Guide.
• Utilizing SAS MACROs and procedures to process and manage large datasets from multiple sources.
• Combining various data sets and reading different data file formats within SAS.
• Performing data step manipulations and generating reports through ODS.
• Applying advanced Excel functions for data analysis.
• Leveraging basic knowledge of the Cognos reporting tool.
• Analyzing data effectively and understanding the complete data flow across banking and compliance systems.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience working with SAS.
• At least 2 years’ experience in the banking domain.
• Minimum 1 year experience in software testing, including SAS-related testing.
• Strong command of SAS Enterprise Guide, including SAS programming and debugging.
• Familiarity with data handling and manipulation for vast datasets from different sources.
• Basic skills in Cognos reporting tool and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
• Ability to understand and interpret complex data workflows.
• Prior experience in AML (Anti-Money Laundering) or compliance projects is preferred.
• Good analytical and data evaluation skills essential for the role.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with prior experience handling banking system data and compliance frameworks will have a distinct advantage. Knowledge of managing large-scale data integration and a proactive approach to detecting and resolving data issues are highly valued.
